Affiliate Disclosure
In plain English, because you deserve to know how this works.
What This Site Is
Best Things To Do In London is an independent travel guide. We research and write honest recommendations for visitors to London — from free things to do to where to stay to which attractions are actually worth the queue.
How We Make Money
We earn a small commission when you book something through one of our links. Here are the programmes we're part of:
- GetYourGuide — We earn approximately 8% commission when you book tours and activities through our GetYourGuide links.
- Viator (Tripadvisor) — We earn approximately 8% commission on activities booked through our Viator links.
- Booking.com — We earn approximately 4% commission on hotel bookings made through our Booking.com links.
What This Means For You
The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our links or go directly to a site. Affiliate links never cost you more.
We are required by the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to disclose these relationships — which we're happy to do. You'll see a small disclosure note at the top of every page and at the point of any affiliate link.
Does This Affect What We Recommend?
No. We recommend what we genuinely believe is worth your time and money. We only recommend experiences and hotels that we would suggest to a friend — some of these have affiliate programmes, some don't.
We recommend plenty of free things (the British Museum, the South Bank walk, Hampstead Heath) that earn us nothing whatsoever. We sometimes recommend smaller operators who don't have affiliate programmes. Our recommendations are driven by quality, not by commission rates.
Display Advertising
We may also display advertising on this site through Google AdSense or similar programmes. Advertisers do not influence our editorial content.
